Abstract

The purpose of this article is to make a comparative analysis of traditional American family
of the 1960s and a modern one. This paper aims at highlighting the main changes that took
place during the last five decades as well as the community point of view on the issue and
alteration of the society’s attitude toward the changes. The paper is based on statistics, academic
articles and books using both qualitative and comparative analysis.
